Welcome to Carver Care and Mobility, your Local Stairlift Installer for a wide area around Milton Keynes and Luton. This month as part of our blue cross sale we are selling the Minivator Simplicity 950 stairlift from £1595, an excellent price!
The Minivator Simplicity 950 stairlift is a straight stairlift which means that it can be used where a stairlift does not need to travel around a corner.
The stairlift track is slim in design and is fixed to the staircase. It is located close to the edge of the staircase and thereby leaves the staircase clear for other users.
The Simplicity 950 stairlift is very compact in design and when the stairlift is not in use it can be folded up to minimise the space it takes up.
All Minivator’s Stairlifts are battery operated so they will continue to work in the event of a power failure. The battery receives a continuous charge from the mains supply. The Simplicity 950 receives this charge irrespective of where the stairlift is positioned on the track. This means the stairlift can be parked on any section of the track when not in use.
The Simplicity 950 stairlift is also very easy to use. The stairlift is protected by a key switch, once switched on the toggle control is simple held in the direction of travel. The toggle can be placed on the left or right hand arm.
On arrival at the top of the stairs the seat is turned to face the landing so that you can get on and off your stairlift with ease.
In the event that your staircase has a 90° corner landing at the top with a couple of steps to the final landing it may be possible to fit a platform system. These systems work in conjunction with the stairlift: once the stairlift has reached the end of its travel the platform is lowered and forms a bridge between the stairlift and the landing. This means that the user can dismount the stairlift and walk directly onto the landing.
The system works in reverse when the stairlift is used to travel downstairs.
The Minivator 2000 Curved Stairlift is designed for use with staircase that turn corners of 90° or 180°, it can also be used on spiral staircases.
All of our experienced stair lift staff are trained to give you as much information as possible when you make an enquiry. We can make an appointment for one of our stairlift sales engineers to come to your home and survey free of charge. He will discuss all options with you and give you a quotation (no pressure selling).
Please call us on 01908 644133 or 01582 487878, or visit our local showrooms in Milton Keynes (Bletchley and Newport Pagnell) and Luton (The Mall, Arndale Centre) - details under 'Showrooms', where we have demonstration stairlifts on show.
We provide both service and maintenance once your stairlift is installed, all at reasonable rates.
We are also willing to take unwanted stairlifts away if they are no longer needed.

- All Minivator Stairlifts are protected by a key switch, this means you can isolate your stairlift against use by unauthorised people. For example if the stairlift is only to be used in the presence of a carer the key can be removed and the lift becomes inoperable.

Once switched on, driving the stairlift is simple. Minivator worked with Occupational Therapists to design a system that is easy to use, even for users suffering from painful conditions such as arthritis. The resulting unique toggle switch is just held in the direction of travel for the duration of the journey.
-
-
It is a requirement of British Standards that a stairlift must have continuous pressure on the operating control to drive it. If the user does release the control during travel then re-applying pressure after a few seconds will start the lift in motion once more. The toggle requires minimal pressure to operate. The toggle can be placed on the left or right arm of the stairlift: if required the toggle can be re-handed.

-
All Minivator Stairlifts are supplied with two hand held remote controls. These can be used by a carer to operate the stairlift for the user or to send the stairlift to park at the other end of the track to maximise the space in the hallway.
-
-
The remote controls can also be used in multi-user environments when a user on one level wishes to call the stairlift that has been left on the other level.
-
-
Both remotes are supplied with wall mounted holders so that they can always be kept in the same place when not in use.

Stairlift Seating Options:
-
-
Even though a stairlift is only used for short periods of time Minivator offer seating solutions which both comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.
-
-
All our seats are designed to take three times the weight limit of the stairlift, this means that every model will provide stable support when getting into, and often more importantly out of the seat. The operating toggle has also been thoughtfully positioned to leave the top of the armrest free to provide support when getting out of the seat.
-
-
The Simplicity 950 offers an upholstered seat back and base and is available in Bute.
-
-
The Minivator 1000 and 2000 can be supplied with a SpaceSaver™ or Luxury seat both of which are available in a choice of colours and offer upholstered seat back, base and armrest pads.
-
-
The SpaceSaver™ is a slimline seat and is particularly suited for use on narrow staircases and for the taller user as, in both instances, the space available may not accommodate the thicker luxury seat.
-
-
The luxury seat has a curved and contoured backrest, its additional padding allows for forming to provide lumber support at the base of the spine.
-
-
For those users with limited movement in the knee or hip a Perch seat may be the best seating position. A perch seat provides posterior support to the user who will be almost standing when using the stairlift. Minivator are unique in offering a perch seat on a curved stairlift. The Perch seat can be used with the Minivator 1000 (s3) or 2000 (s4).
-
-
If a user has reduced hip and knee movement but is more comfortable in a seated position the fixed short seat is also available on the Minivator 1000 and 2000. This seat provides posterior support to a user in seated position.
-
-
Both the Minivator 1000 and 2000 are available with arm spacers which can be used to increase the distance between the arms if required.
